Though some of those rites and practices are null and void now, while most of others are affirmed relevant based on Divine wisdom. The Qur’an itself says:
“There was certainly in their stories a lesson for those of understanding. Never was the Qur’an a narration invented, but a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of all things and guidance and mercy for a people who believe.” (Surah Yusuf: 111)
It means that the stories and the facts mentioned in the Qur’an have lessons and guidance of life for those who have sound minds and provide explanations for people for every event, required in all aspects of spiritual, psychological, social and economical needs.
