EC Desk

21-07-2023: President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Maulana Mahmood Asa’d Madani has expressed sadness, outrage, and profound condemnation on the recent horrific rape incident that took place in Manipur, India and the criminal negligence of the government and administration in this regard. “The gravity of this heinous crime demands an urgent and unequivocal response from all of us, as we stand together to denounce such acts of violence and call for justice and change.”

Maulana Madani said that the incident had left our hearts heavy with grief for the victim and their family, and has shocked the conscience of the whole country. This is an egregious violation of human rights, an affront to our shared values, and an attack on the very fabric of society. As a society, we must stand united against such atrocities and work collectively to create a safe environment especially for weaker section of society.

We call upon the Manipur government and the authorities to conduct a swift and transparent investigation into the incident and ensure that all those responsible for this abhorrent crime are brought to justice without delay. The survivors and their families deserve nothing less than full support, compassion, and a fair judicial process.

In this dark hour, we extend our heartfelt solidarity to the people of Manipur and the survivor and her family. Our thoughts are with them as they face unimaginable pain and suffering. We assure them that we stand with them, and together, we will strive to build a world that is safe and just for all.
