Teachers’ Training Session at Al-Hidayah Residential School, Badlapur

A Teachers’ Training Session was successfully conducted at Al-Hidayah Residential School, Badlapur, on 11th June 2026. The session was organized with the objective of strengthening the role of teachers in nurturing students with strong Islamic values, noble character, and academic excellence.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Following the recitation, the teachers introduced themselves, providing an opportunity for mutual acquaintance and fostering a spirit of collaboration among the participants.

The keynote speaker of the session was Mufti Jaseemuddin Qasmi, Lecturer at Markazul Ma’arif Education and Research Center (MMERC), Mumbai, who holds an M.A. in English and has 15 years of experience in teaching and training. Addressing approximately 30 teachers, he delivered an insightful lecture on the theme: “Education with Akhlaq: Developing Strong Character in Muslim Students.”
During his address, Mufti Jaseemuddin Qasmi highlighted several essential qualities that every teacher should possess. He emphasized that a teacher must be sincere in his mission, patient in dealing with students, eager to acquire knowledge, morally upright, and compassionate towards learners. He stressed that teaching is not merely the transfer of information; rather, a teacher should serve as a true mentor, trainer, and guide who contributes to the moral and intellectual development of students.

He further explained that moral values cannot be effectively taught through words alone. Teachers must embody the values they wish to instill in their students, as actions speak louder than words. Students are more likely to learn good character through the practical example set by their teachers.

Another important point discussed was the need to recognize and develop the unique talents and skills of each student. Mufti Qasmi encouraged teachers to adopt an individualized approach whenever necessary and to provide personal counseling to students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.

He also emphasized the importance of a teacher’s own personality development. According to him, teachers should strive to maintain high standards in their appearance, dressing, communication skills, manners, and overall conduct. Only after refining their own personalities can they effectively help students build strong and admirable personalities.

The session concluded with an engaging and thought-provoking Question-and-Answer Session, during which teachers raised various concerns related to improving teaching skills, classroom management, student behavior, and effective educational practices. The discussion proved highly beneficial and provided practical guidance for the participants.
