Launch Ceremony of Concept of Life After Death in World’s Major Religions Held in Deoband
Eminent Islamic Scholars and Academics Hail the Book as a Significant Contribution to Interfaith Understanding and Scholarly Discourse

A dignified launch ceremony for the English book “Concept of Life After Death in World’s Major Religions”, authored by the renowned Islamic scholar and researcher Maulana Mohammad Burhanuddin Qasmi, Director of Markazul Ma’arif Educational and Research Centre (MMERC), Mumbai, and Editor of Eastern Crescent, was held on Wednesday after the Asr prayer at the Deoband Online Hall, Mohalla Khanqah, Deoband.

The programme was presided over by Maulana Muhammad Sadaqat Qasmi, Head of the Department of Christian Studies at Darul Uloom Deoband.

Among the distinguished participants were Dr Mufti Muhammadullah Khalili Qasmi; Maulana Tauqeer Ahmad Qasmi, Khalifah of Hazrat Maulana Pir Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi (rahimahullah) and Head of the English Department at Darul Uloom Deoband; Maulana Abdul Malik Qasmi and Maulana Abdul Hamid, both faculty members of the English Department at Darul Uloom Deoband; Maulana Mufti Muhammad Sajjad Qasmi, Maulana Jamshed Adil Qasmi, and Maulana Muhammad Asjad Uqabi, faculty members of the English Department at Darul Uloom Waqf, Deoband; Maulana Husain Ahmad Qasmi and Maulana Muawiyah Qasmi, members of the Internet Department of Darul Uloom Deoband; Advocate Maulana Muhammad Amjad Qasmi (LLM); Maulana Abdur Rahman Qasmi of Nigarishat Book Store, Deoband; along with several other distinguished scholars, academics, and intellectuals.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted the book’s academic, research, and Da’wah value. They described “Concept of Life After Death in World’s Major Religions” as a unique and well-researched scholarly work that presents the concept of life after death from the perspectives of the world’s major religions through a comparative, analytical, and evidence-based approach.

The speakers further observed that the book is not intended solely for Muslim readers; rather, it serves as a valuable resource for people of all faiths and backgrounds who seek to understand how different religions perceive the afterlife. They described it as an important contribution to interfaith understanding, constructive dialogue, and serious academic inquiry.

The scholars also emphasized that the contemporary world has an increasing need for such research-based publications, as meaningful engagement among followers of different faiths and a deeper understanding of one another’s beliefs have become more important than ever. At the conclusion of the programe, all those present warmly congratulated Maulana Burhanuddin Qasmi on this remarkable academic achievement and prayed that Allah Almighty grants the book widespread acceptance, makes it a source of guidance and benefit for humanity, and blesses the author with continued success in his scholarly endeavors.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt supplication led by Maulana Tauqeer Ahmad Qasmi.
