As one of the five pillars of Islam, Hajj is obligatory for all Muslims who are financially stable (صاحب نصاب). However, embarking on this spiritual journey can be daunting, especially for those traveling alone without any relatives or acquaintances in Makkah. Understanding the challenges faced by pilgrims, the Haj Committee of India was established to facilitate a trouble-free and well-coordinated journey for all Indian pilgrims.

The Ministry of Minority Affairs and the Haj Committee of India have officially announced the commencement of the application process for Hajj 2025 (Hijri 1446). From August 13, 2024, the online application forms is available, and pilgrims have until September 9, 2024, to submit their forms. This year’s Hajj promises to be more organized and hassle-free, thanks to the continuous efforts of the Haj Committee of India, a statutory body constituted under the Act of Parliament No. 35 of 2002.
