Islam is a universal religion, and its teachings are meant for every human being. It is not just a religion but a comprehensive and complete way of leading one’s life. A common misconception is that Islam is a fourteen-century-old religion, but it actually originated with the first man, Adam (Alaihis Salam), who came with full guidance and a proper structure. Islam got amendments over time from the Creator Himself, with the last upgradation occurring fourteen centuries ago through the final Prophet Muhammad (saws). All the necessary changes for humanity were made in the form of guidance provided by the Glorious Qur’an, which is full of knowledge and wisdom.

To introduce Prophet Muhammad (saws) and his teachings to the people of the country, especially those who are not aware about the personality of merciful Prophet (saws), and to dispel misconceptions about him, the #ProphetForAll movement was initiated three years ago in Mumbai. This movement has been continuously making efforts to educate people about Prophet Muhammad (saws) as a mercy and guide for all mankind. The Prophet Muhammad (saws) was born on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, and accordingly, this movement takes various programs to celebrate and raise awareness about his teachings in all the first twelve days of the 3rd month of Hijra calendar – year 1446 AH.

To make these efforts more successful, accessible, and widespread, the movement conducted a meeting with Islamic scholars, Imams, and khateebs of masjids at Islam Gymkhana, Marine Line, located in South Mumbai, on the 31st of August 2024. This meeting was attended by over 100 Imams and khateebs. Amir Edresy, one of the key members of the #ProphetForAll campaign, said, “On the eve of the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, Seerat Quiz programs are commonly held, but our target audience is common citizens of India. Our aim is to remove the misconceptions that some may have about our loved Prophet Muhammad (saws) and to make them understand that he has been a mercy for whole of the world.”
