In Nirmal Jote, West Bengal, at the site of the Kanchanjunga Express accident, dozens of Muslim youths from the village chose not to celebrate Eid but instead rushed to save the lives of hundreds of train passengers. While performing the Eid-ul-Adha Salah, they heard the horrific sound of a train collision. Without hesitation, they ran to rescue the victims of the accident. They found eight bodies and helped many injured passengers get to the hospital.

The crisis of disastrous train accidents is echoing throughout the country, yet no action seems to be taken. Despite multiple rail accidents causing the deaths of many citizens, the Minister of Railways refuses to take responsibility for this criminal negligence. In the past, ministers would resign after such deadly accidents.
If these young Muslim youths had not acted so swiftly, the death toll could have been much higher. These young men are the true heroes of the country, sacrificing their holy celebration to save their fellow countrymen. Alas, the media has yet to broadcast their bravery and dedication. Among these courageous youths were Muhammad Rahul, Muhammad Khalil, Muhammad Shamim Akhtar, and others who took part in this noble act of saving lives.
