We keep hearing about people who have strokes after falling while bathing. We generally do not hear of anyone falling anywhere else and had a stroke, but why?
Recently, I participated in a ‘Health Lifestyle’ course, there was a Professor from the ‘Sports Council’. The Professor instructed us that we should not pour water on our heads before showering the bodies. It means we should wash other parts of our body first and then wash our heads.
This is because, he said, when the head is wet and cold, blood flows faster to the head to warm it. If the blood vessels of a particular person are narrowed by any reason, whatsoever, then there is a possibility of rupture of blood vessels which may cause temporary fainting, sever strokes or even brain hemorrhage.
Since this is usually happens in the bathroom, so make sure to educate yourself and be aware to avoid a future stroke, otherwise a carelessness may cost your life.
Please Take Bath in the Way as Under:
1. First of all make an ablution.
2. Then pour water on the right shoulder and then on the left.
3. Then pour water on the head.
4. Then wash your full body as you wish.
This is the Sunnah Way of bathing.
Wisdom:
It is just like a glass full of boiled water, then suddenly you pour in it cold water, the glass may shatter. Similarly, if our body temperature is too high and the water too cold, and then if we pour water directly on the head, air can be trapped, blood flow may get disturbed and even a death can occur from rupture of blood vessels.
That’s why we keep hearing that someone suddenly collapsed in the bathroom and was dead before taking to a hospital.
Due to improper bathing, we also may get paralysis or migraine, if not a brain hemorrhage. Therefore, the Sunnah Way of bathing is strongly advisable. This way of bathing is suitable for people of all ages, especially for those who are suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol etc.
Thus to protect yourself from an untoward danger, always practice the Sunnah Way of bathing and share this important piece of knowledge to your loved ones as well as others.
