EC Desk: Today on 23/07/2023, localities of Mira Bhayandar under the banner of Hum Bhartiya, organized a protest against the ongoing violence in Manipur. The recent incident of parading the women naked on the streets & killings have led to many protests & has been condemned by many across India. In spite of rain today, 80 – 100 people participated including women & people from all faiths.

President of the committee Dr. Azimuddin demanded strict punishment against the culprits of Manipur atrocities & also plans to submit a memorandum for the same to the Home Minister.

Mr. Iqbal Mahadik said “this violence is result of appreciating & felicitating the culprits like the rapist of Bilkis Bano case, which gives such people more courage to do such heinous acts”.
Mr. Seby Fernandes, Mol. Abdullah, Mr. Umar fruitwala, Mrs. Nasreen Khan, Mrs. Muhaddisa Jiwani & others addressed the masses during the protest. People at large demanded the government to take strict action against rioters & protect the minorities all over India. Protest ended with 2mins of Silence in the support of the victims & later reciting the National Anthem.
