A Spiritual Meeting With Maulana Badruddin Ajmal Al-Qasmi

Mumbai, on 9th December 2025 students of Markazul Ma’arif Education and Research Centre (MMERC), Mumbai along with teachers met Maulana Badruddin Ajmal Al-Qasmi, former MP and member of Darul Uloom Deoband’s advisory board and the founder of MMERC.
The program took place at Nagdevi, Mumbai in Shafi Castle. Maulana commenced the program with his insightful statement “the virtuous wajifah of Darood Sharif as the source of long-term sustainable peace and milestone success in this very world similarly in the Hereafter. This is the blessing of Darood Shariff which enlightened Allama Iqbal’s heart all over again with a divine path when he reached around in the thicker valley of Atheism. Therefore, people must consider it an indispensable part of their life,” with great emphasis and recommendation he said.
It is an undeniable fact that Ulama are the essence of Ummah playing the role in all ages. Today apostasy prevails. Muslim college and school going youths are sliding towards it rapidly. Ulama will have to march ahead to set these all affairs empowering their soul with the reality and wisdom of divine religion on widespread awareness, developing soul purification (Tazkiya e nafs) infusing the purpose of this worldly mortal life under the light of Islamic teachings so the connection between Sustainer and slave can be evolved and the stream of apostasy irrigating the Muslim community can be besieged effectively.
It is extremely heart rending that the knowledge in Madaris is plethora but the spirituality developing sources are a few. Today the connection between teacher and students is limited just to class, there is no practical reflection like forefathers. Madaris are void of Khanqah. Boarding rooms are gleaming and lighting through the mobile screen till late night replacing the spiritual environment which is outright sorrowful and heart corroding. Ulama are the inheritors of Messengers. They are the offspring of Nanoutwi, Gangohi and Thanvi. They are in an acute need of spiritual development (Tazkiya-e- nafs). Because the statement of leaders equipped with (Tazkiya-e-nafs) is a real-time effective and lasting impression imprinted on the hearts.
Maulana explained that today in this tech-driven world the accessibility of masses to the Islamic scholars is slowing to a trickle. AI is the preferred source of people to solve their matters, which has no profundity. To be the heir of Messengers; Ulama equipped with technology, well skilled in multi-dimensional knowledge are required to feed the rightly guided- content to Al, and can make corrections in ambiguous points generated by Al. For this purpose soon Maulana is to run the team of Islamic scholars in the collaboration with Maulana Huziafa Wastanwi so the sheer representation and propagation can be accomplished.
These carrying weight, most reasoned out, well-thought-out words backed by spirituality of Maulana Ajmal imprinted the tremendous influence on the faces of the audience. This spiritual journey culminated in Maulana’s dua and the thanking words of Maulana Mohammad Burhanuddin Qasmi Director of MMERC on behalf of the entire faculty of MMERC and the students.
