Common Entrance Exam (CEE-25) for Diploma in English Language and Literature at Institutions Affiliated with Markazul Ma’arif, Mumbai

Markazul Ma’arif Education and Research Centre, Mumbai, renowned for providing quality education in English language and literature to madrasa graduates, has announced the admission exam date for the 2025-2027 batch. Established by Maulana Badruddin Ajmal Al-Qasmi, the institution has been equipping ulama with proficiency in English and modern education, enabling them to excel in India and abroad for decades.

Maulana Muhammad Burhanuddin Qasmi, the Director of Markazul Ma’arif, following a meeting with all affiliated institutions announced that the admission process has been moved online using modern technology. The online admission exam will be held on February 7, 2025, allowing candidates to participate easily from their locations without the challenges of travel. This initiative especially benefits those who could not previously attend due to distance or other constraints.

The admission exam is for the two-year Diploma in English Language and Literature (DELL) offered by eight institutions affiliated with Markazul Ma’arif.
Last Date to Submit Applications is February 4, 2025 (Tuesday) / 4 Shaban 1446 AH

Written Exam is on February 7, 2025 (Friday), 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM (online). Only those who pass the written exam will qualify for the oral exam, the date of oral exam will be announced with the written exam results.

The eight institutes considered for admission are as follows:

(1.) Markaz Islami Education and Research Centre, Ankleshwar, Gujarat
(2.) Jamia Islamia Jalia, Hojai, Assam
(3.) Al-Mahad Al-Aali Al-Islami, Hyderabad, Telangana
(4.) Ashraful Uloom Education and Research Centre, Howrah, West Bengal
(5.) Jamia Darul Hadith, Jayanagar, Hojai, Assam
(6.) Madrasa Jamiul Uloom, Balapur, Akola, Maharashtra
(7.) Madrasa Islamia Waqf, Surat, Gujarat
(8.) Jamia Islamia Banjari, Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Maulana Mudassir Ahmad Qasmi, the National Coordinator of the DELL course, stated that graduates from any recognized madrasa across the country are eligible to apply for the exam. He added that a total of 220 students will be finalized for admission, with an additional 80 students on the waiting list. Candidates can prioritize up to three institutions while applying. Admission to an institution will be determined based on performance in both the written and oral exams, as well as seat availability.

Interested candidates must visit> www.easterncrescent.net to fill out the application form. A video tutorial explaining the application process is also available on the website. After receiving the applications, they will be reviewed, and eligible candidates will receive an admit card via email from the examination coordinator that is mandatory for the candidates to keep it with them in exam.

Markazul Ma’arif Education and Research Centre, established in 1994, is the first and unique institution globally to introduce a structured two-year DELL course for madrasa graduates. Along with English language and literature, the course includes Computer and Information Studies, History, Geography, Sociology, Journalism, Mathematics, Hindi, General Studies, and Comparative Religion Studies.
