September 19: AIMPLB Launches Second Roadmap Against Waqf Law with Day of Prayer

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has announced the launch of its second roadmap against the controversial Waqf Amendment Act 2025, beginning with a Day of Prayer on Friday, September 19.

The move comes after the Supreme Court’s interim order on the law. While many had hoped the Court would strike down what AIMPLB terms an “unconstitutional and black law,” the matter has been referred to a constitutional bench for detailed hearing. The interim relief granted, the Board emphasized, is the result of the community’s consistent struggle and the tireless efforts of senior scholars and leaders.

Expressing gratitude, AIMPLB congratulated the Muslim community, religious bodies, and secular political parties for their cooperation. However, it underlined that the battle is far from over, stressing the need to continue the campaign with renewed determination.

Under the new roadmap, AIMPLB has appealed to all mosques nationwide to observe September 19 as a Day of Prayer. Imams have been requested to deliver sermons highlighting the injustice of the law and to lead collective prayers after Friday congregational prayers, asking for divine support and justice. The Board advised caution against direct criticism of the judiciary, urging instead that demands be directed towards the government to repeal the legislation.

AIMPLB further called upon regional conveners, community leaders, and activists to swiftly spread this message across mosques and amplify it on social media, ensuring maximum participation.
