A three-member delegation of Markazul Ma’arif Education & Research Centre, (MMERC), Mumbai, led by its Director Maulana Mohammad Burhanuddin Qasmi made a two-day visit to Madrasa Islamia Waqf Sufi Baug, Surat and Darul Uloom Markaz-e Islami, Ankaleshwar, Gujarat on 23 and 24 December 2023 respectively. The delegation was consisting of Maulana Burhanuddin Qasmi, Prof. Mohammad Arif Ansari and Maulana Muaz Muddassir Qasmi and was warmly welcomed by Maulana Mohammad AlamgeerQasmi (HoD), Maulana Mohammad Saqib Jamie and Maulana Meraj Qasmi and other teachers of Diploma in English language and Literature (DELL).
Following the short discussion with the teachers on the syllabus and daily schedule, the two members of the delegation Prof. Mohammad Arif and Maulana Muaz Muddassir Qasmi joined the DELL classes of second year and first year respectively to interact with the students and assess the their study progress. The experts reported their satisfaction following their long interaction with the DELL students at Sufi Baug Madrasa. However, some suggestions were given to the students and the same were shared with the teachers to further improve and better skill in the lives ahead.
Meanwhile the Director of MMERC had a meeting with the teachers and management of Sufi Baug and thoroughly discussed the pros and cons of DELL course. Some important decisions were taken in the meeting for the smooth functioning of the DELL course and betterment of students in the presence of all DELL teachers and Maulana Khalilur Rahman Sb, the Vice President of the madrasa.
Following the Magrib prayer there was a joint session of all DELL students, teachers and the MMERC delegation in which the Director of MMERC Maulana Burhanuddin Qasmi interacted with the students and made a presentation on ‘Keys to Success’. Here Maulana Mohammad Akram Qasmi, a prominent scholar, MIERC alumnus and Surat based business person joined the MMERC delegation.
The delegation latter set for Markaz-e Islami Education and Research Centre,(MIERC), Ankaleshwar. In the morning on 24 December, the two members of the delegation attended the first year and second year DELL classes at MIERC. Prof. Arif had interaction jointly with both the sections of the first year while Maulana Muaz Muddassir Qasmi took his time with the second year students of DELL. The two members of the MMERC delegation inspected quality of education and the progress of study at MIERC. It was a good experience and the students were found to be enthusiastic however, they observed some urgent improvements are needed both in quality and methodology of teachings in certain subjects. The duo submitted their observations in the follow-up meeting too.
Meanwhile, the Director of MMERC and Maulana Mohammad Akram Qasmi had a long meeting with the MIERC management – Mr. Iqbal Makrod, Maulana Suhail Aalonj and Master Nazeer along with all DELL teachers of MIERC – Maulana Arshad Ishati, Maulana Waseem, Maulana Abu Talha, Maulana Wasif, Maulana Mustaqim and Maulana Javed.In the meeting they discussed all ongoing activities of MIERC, Ankleshwar, assessed the syllabus-wise teaching and tried to find out better ways for the smooth functioning of the institution to bring about better results and progress in future.
Following this meeting there was the joint session of DELL students attended by guests, where Maulana Burhanuddin Qasmi listened to the students and he also gave an important presentation.
In the final meeting with the senior management of MIERC, Maulana Burhanuddin Qasmi shared MMERC delegation’s observation in regard to MIERC’s journey in this academic year.He also pointed out issues which should be addressed sooner than later to match the objectives of DELL Course and maintain quality in education at MIERC, Ankelshwar.
