The Battle between Truth and Falsehood – Since the Dawn of Time

The conflict between truth and falsehood has existed since the very beginning of creation of the word and will continue until the end of time. In every era, falsehood has manifested itself in various forms, unleashing its full force upon the truth. Though falsehood may seem victorious for a time, in the end, defeat is always its destiny. This struggle between truth and falsehood is not a product of modern times, but rather it has been ongoing since the earliest days of human existence. It has now become an integral part of human life. Without the presence of falsehood, truth would be difficult to recognize. The understanding of truth and falsehood is linked to human experiences, observations, and reasoning. However, if falsehood did not exist, we would not fully grasp the importance of truth, nor would we be able to distinguish between the two. This is an extraordinary divine gift, through which humans can easily discern between right and wrong; without this, humanity might lose itself in confusion, yet still fail to recognize the path of truth.
Whenever falsehood has prevailed and risen to prominence, the Creator of the universe has sent a messenger from among the people to guide them towards the truth and to present a complete code of life. This ensured that misguided souls, indulging in falsehood, could recognize the right way of living. In this way, people could awaken from their ignorance and begin to comprehend the true purpose of their existence. Falsehood has always employed its full power to overwhelm the truth, utilizing various tactics according to its capabilities. From moral degradation to wickedness, tyranny, and outright evil, falsehood has made every effort to prevail. Yet, whenever wickedness increased, Abraham (as) was born to counter it. When tyranny reached its height, Moses (as) stood to confront it. When evil grew rampant, Muhammad (saws) arose to eradicate it and unite humanity under a complete and perfect system of life.
Indulgence in pleasure and luxury diverts human beings from their true purpose, plunging them into moral decay. Falsehood has always exploited this human weakness, turning people into enemies of one another. In their lust for wealth and pleasure, people have become murderers of their own fathers and brothers. In their pursuit of indulgence, even some of the followers of falsehood have used their sisters and daughters. Wealth, women, and worldly pleasures are traps that lead humans astray, depriving them of their humanity and ultimately erasing their legacy, leaving them as mere warnings for others. However, it is equally true that those who protect themselves from the negative effects of these desires, honing their intellectual abilities and upholding moral values, are remembered forever in the golden pages of history.
The battle between truth and falsehood began with creation of the universe and will continue until the Day of Judgment. This struggle is crucial for the moral and spiritual growth of humanity. It has been fought not only on physical battlefields but also in hearts and minds, in what is known as an ideological war. Throughout human history, this ongoing struggle can be seen, where the light of truth has always illuminated the path of justice and righteousness, while the darkness of falsehood has led people toward misguidance and oppression. The victory of truth has always been and will always be destined, God willing, because truth is like a light that can never be extinguished. Though the forces of falsehood may rise to power temporarily, their ultimate fate is always destruction and defeat. Therefore, every person should strive to be a torchbearer of truth, dedicating their life to this noble cause, so that the message of peace, justice, and love may spread throughout the world.
