Sitamarhi, Bihar:
On the evening of Saturday, April 26, 2025, Indian Public School (IPS), Bhokhra, Sitamarhi, Bihar, held its grand annual function, a vibrant blend of educational, cultural, and oratory activities. Muaz Muddassir Qasmi, Director of Al-Habeeb English Medium School, Maulanagar, was invited as the Guest of Honour by his close friend and the school’s Principal, Maulana Hammad Khaleeque.

Muaz Muddassir Qasmi attended the event accompanied by his brother, Mubashshir Mazahiri, and two faculty members from his institution, Jamiatul Habeeb—Maulana Amanat Ali Mazahiri and Maulana Parwez Qasmi.

The students presented impressive cultural performances, followed by a trilingual speech competition in Urdu, Sanskrit, and English, which captivated the audience.

Muaz Muddassir Qasmi was appointed as one of the judges for the English speech competition, alongside Mubashshir Mazahiri and Mr. Naushad, the head of the prominent local school “Tiny Tots.” Meanwhile, the judging panel for the Urdu segment consisted of Maulana Amanat Ali and Maulana Parwez.

A particularly inspiring aspect of the event was the enthusiastic participation of students from both Muslim and non-Muslim backgrounds, transcending linguistic and cultural boundaries. Non-Muslim girls delivered eloquent speeches in Urdu, impressing the audience with their fluency and articulation. At the same time, Muslim students confidently spoke in Sanskrit—powerfully demonstrating that language is a shared human treasure and not confined to any single faith or community.

In his closing remarks after the English competition, Muaz Muddassir Qasmi reflected on the gift of speech, urging students to be grateful for this divine blessing that distinguishes humans from all other creatures. He cited historical figures who changed the course of history through the power of their oratory and encouraged students to refine their speaking skills. He also advised them to participate in such competitions to learn how to convey impactful messages concisely and effectively. He emphasized the importance of using language for constructive and positive purposes.

He concluded by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the school’s hardworking teachers, the cooperative administration, and especially the talented students who made the event a resounding success. He congratulated all the participants, saying, “You are all truly commendable — MashaAllah!”

The event was attended by dignitaries from various schools, along with notable officials such as MLA Mukesh Kumar and S D.M. Ishtiyaque Ansari, who acknowledged the significance of such programs in the academic and cultural development of the region.
