Gaza Genocide: The Double Behavior of the West!

Israel’s game of brutality, viciousness and bestiality continues in Gaza, not a day goes by in which more than a hundred Palestinians are not butchered. More than 61,000 people have been killed in Gaza so far, including more than 18,000 children, while the entire population of Gaza has been subjected to famine due to the blockade of Gaza. The famine in Gaza has taken a serious turn. Dozens of people have died due to famine, a large number of which are infants.

According to UNICEF, more than 16,000 children were admitted for treatment for malnutrition in May alone. International organizations are constantly indicating that if relief supplies are not delivered to Gaza immediately, a humanitarian tragedy may occur. The World Health Organization and other organizations say that the people of Gaza are suffering from famine, are sick, and are dying, while food and medicine are lying a few kilometers away. If immediate aid is not delivered, the situation will get out of control. The height of Zionist brutality is that people who stand in lines to get a sack of flour are being selectively targeted. Thousands of aid trucks are standing at the Rafah border, not allowed to enter. The trucks that are allowed to enter under a show of humanitarian compassion are deliberately mismanaged in the distribution of goods, and this mismanagement is justified by the pretext that the aid goods do not fall into the hands of Hamas. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Bérou also cried out at Israeli brutality, cruelty, and ruthlessness. He severely criticized the US- and Israel-backed system of aid distribution in Gaza, calling it a “shameful scandal” and a “bloodbath.” He also demanded an immediate halt to the activities of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). In a situation where men, women, the elderly, and children of Gaza are starving for every morsel of bread and drop of water, the picture of the famine situation emerging through the media, especially social media, is extremely painful and heartbreaking. The people who have the pain of humanity are protesting against this cruelty.

Despite heavy rain in Sydney, Australia, more than 300,000 people marched in solidarity with the besieged Palestinians and condemned the ongoing Israeli brutality in Gaza. Organizers called the protest the “March for Humanity.” Many participants held pots and pans to show solidarity with the besieged citizens of Gaza, symbolizing hunger. Men, women, the elderly, children and young people participated in the march. Despite worldwide protests against the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the use of hunger as a weapon, Israel has not stopped its brutality in any way, nor has the international community been willing to speak out against this aggression. But when Hamas released a video of two Israeli prisoners yesterday, showing them suffering from malnutrition, the whole world was moved. French President Emmanuel Macron called these videos extremely cruel and inhumane. In addition to Macron, the European Union’s top diplomat Kaja Kalas has also called Hamas’s release of the video an extremely cruel incident in Gaza and condemned these videos of the prisoners.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the videos exposed Hamas’ brutality. British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy called the videos “abhorrent” and called for the unconditional release of the prisoners. Netanyahu himself appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to help Israeli prisoners in Gaza. While the videos of the two prisoners in their emaciated condition have sparked outrage in Israel, and are currently under the grip of protests across Israel. According to Netanyahu’s office, he spoke with Julian Larsen, the ICRC’s coordinator for the region, and urged him to play his part in providing food and urgent medical care to our prisoners.

The Red Cross said in a statement that it was shocked by the heartbreaking videos and once again called for access to the prisoners. In response, the Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, said that it would allow the organization access to the prisoners, but only if humanitarian corridors for food and aid were opened throughout the Gaza Strip. The Qassam Brigades said that they do not deliberately starve prisoners, the food that the fighters and the people of Gaza are eating is what the hostages are eating, and that if Netanyahu wants the hostages to receive food, he should immediately lift the siege of Gaza and stop the airstrikes.

The matter of sorrow is that since October 7, 2023, the unarmed people of Gaza have been facing Israeli aggression. Israel has turned the entire Gaza Strip into a pile of rubble in the name of the right of self-defense. More than two million people have been displaced. Hospitals, educational institutions, and business centers have been razed to the ground. Israeli tanks and bulldozers are trampling the land of Gaza. Bombing is also ongoing on the wounded, sick, and helpless people who have been displaced and camped under the open sky. Today, a genocide is underway in Gaza that is unparalleled in history.

Despite all its atrocities, Israel could not defeat the determination, courage and daring of the unarmed Palestinians, so it started using food as a weapon, and for the past several months, aid trucks have not been allowed to enter Gaza, as a result of which the residents of Gaza are suffering from famine. On one hand, there is aerial bombing and on the other hand, the closure of aid supplies, despite such tragic and inhumane behavior, the US and Western powers did not speak out against these atrocities of Israel. But when a mere video of two prisoners came to light, they began to remember the charters of humanity and human rights. This double behavior is a mirror of the West’s hostility and hypocrisy to Muslims.

Under the auspices of America and Europe, Israel is killing Palestinians as a game. It is not even ready to spare women and children in this regard. It has even been targeting and killing hungry Palestinians for many days. The common people of the West are protesting against this situation, but the governments of Western countries have given Israel the freedom to do anything. Although these governments are the ones who propagate “human rights” the most. If even a single Christian is killed in any Muslim country, the Western powers raise a storm, but Israel has killed 61 thousand people in Gaza, injured 152 thousand people, but the West is not ready to stop Israel.

The truth is that what Israel is doing in Gaza, the large-scale genocide of Palestinians, the violation of human rights, and the approved international principles of war, is in fact true terrorism and brutality. Supporting and appeasing a tyrant rather than putting an end to his oppression the world cannot achieve peace.
