An 8-Day Moral Inculcating Summer Camp at Al-Hidayah School Badlapur

Mumbai__(Mohammad Asad) From 4th of May 2025, an 8-day “Moral Inculcating Summer Camp” (MISC) organized for only 10 to 15 years old boys (class IV to IX) in English medium, at Al-Hidayah Residential School, (Al-Hidayah Campus) Badlapur, Thane, Maharashtra in collaboration with Markazul Ma’arif Education & Research Centre, (MMERC) Jogeshwari (W), Mumbai.

The purpose is to equip the children with Islamic beliefs, ethics and morality, to refine their abilities and to enhance their skills not only in academic field, but also in sports and personality development.

4th of May 2025, Sunday witnessed it’s inauguration, in which many academic figures and dignitaries participated. After the recitation of the Glorious Quran, Mufti Ashfaque Sb. Kazi, Imam of Jama Masjid, Mumbai, said during his speech: The location of this school is so helpful and climate is so spiritual and natural that the people of Mumbai should visit it and carry their children here for education and moral training. “Next time, you will realize the real need for such a moral camps. For, I think that there will be a huge rush of admissions in the next batch.” he added.

Dr. Shabbir said: Alas! “In my childhood, I did not have any idea of such a camp and there were no such facilities available. That’s why I didn’t learn anything; but I assure you that next time I will deliver here a bus full of children.”

Similarly, Mufti Jaseemuddin Qasmi gave a very interesting speech according to the psychology of children, in which he shed light on morality and highlighted the educational aspects. Later, Aqib Sir and Dr. Syed Kamal, in their own unique way, gave the children advice and wise words.

However, one may gain high education, abundant wealth or great job through his consistent efforts; but to be a humble person & good citizen, to win other’s heart and to leave lasting impression on people’s mind are totally something else. It never be achieved by aforementioned. It requires ethics and morals. By dint of good behaviour and decency anybody can attain it.

In this era, money, education and materialism are being given too much importance. It causes imbalance and instability in life. Regardless of religion and nationality, every realistic person believes that ethics and morality are badly needed to be a good citizen, to get contentment and to capture the hearts.

Thus, this wonderful inaugural ceremony of the “Moral Inculcating Summer Camp” came to an end. Now, In-Sha-Allah, regular lessons, lectures, practical exercises, personality development & competitive programs and various social activities such as tree plantation, mountain climbing, sports and physical exercise, etc. will begin, which will continue in different forms throughout the week.
