A Webinar on Career Guidance for DELL Graduates
“DELL graduates are in high demand” (Dr. Razi Ahmad Qasmi)

By; Mohammad As’ad Qasmi
2nd Year DELL Student, MMERC

Today, on 20th July 2025, an online lecture was held on the topic of “Opportunities and Challenges for DELL Graduates in the Contemporary Academic System” by Markazul Ma’arif Education and Research Centre (MMERC), Mumbai. Students from all MMERC affiliated institutions participated in the virtual lecture from their own locations across India.

The honourable lecturer was one of the alumni of MMERC, a renowned Islamic scholar and project director at Markaz Group of Schools, Hojai, Aasam. He has mastery over academic guidance, like teaching methods and topic-based project etc.

Mufti Jaseemuddin Qasmi, the lecturer and multi-talented teacher at MMERC anchored the program with the introductory words. He said, “To enhance the multi-dimensional skills of students, we organize such a lecture now and again. Such a program is sometimes more informative and beneficial than a book of hundreds pages. It’s the first lecture of the academic year 2025-26.”

After recitation of the Glorious Qur’an by Maul. Shafiullah Qasmi, one of the MMERC’s 2nd year DELL students, the lecture of Maul. Dr. Razi Ahmad Sb. Qasmi commenced.

“There is a high demand of DELL graduates in markets” with this statement he initiated the lecture. The possibilities and areas he delivered, may fall into four categories:
He said that if you want to give more time in learning, you may go for further education with clear target and goal. Dr. Razi  illustrated that one of the best options for DELL graduates  is to join any Muslim-managed institution. Because it’s considered as safe space for maintaining the personal identity of an Aalim and Muslim scholar.

He stressed that in such an institution, there are many important things that a teacher is supposed to have command over, like communication skills, lesson planning, teaching methodologies, effective classroom management, topic-based project, subject material project, curriculum material project, subject development project, understanding the psychology of students etc.
Moreover, he added that he had conducted interviews of over hundred Ulama for selecting teachers and hostel wardens for the schools etc. MMERC graduates are in high demand in the Muslim managed schools due to their command of Arabic, Urdu and Islamic subjects, they know English too. But what they lack in is that they do not know lesson planning and are unaware of effective class management. So, young Ulama should also acquire these skills which are necessary for a successful teacher.

The lecture concluded with a Q&A session. He gave satisfactory answers to all the questions asked by participants. However, this insightful lecture ended with the gratitude expressed by Mufti Jaseemuddin Sb. Qasmi to the guest, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds.
